Liverpool hero Mark Lawrenson believes Manchester United star Wayne Rooney is one of the three best players in the world alongside Real Madrid’s Cristiano Ronaldo and Barcelona’s Lionel Messi. The Manchester United striker scored his twentieth Premier League goal of the season against Arsenal on Sunday, and Lawrenson suggests the 24-year-old’s work rate sets him aside from his more illustrious peers.
